Dr Craig Thornber was a pharmacologist by profession and now devotes his time to research and lecturing on various aspects of the history of medicine. He will talk about the medicines used at Tabley House in the 1820s. Tabley House in Cheshire is owned by the University, and many of the books and papers from the house are held at the John Rylands Library.
