David O'Connor is a lecturer in Art History and Visual Studies at the University of Manchester. He will talk about Charles Eamer Kempe and the John Rylands Library's stained glass.

David's main area of research is the history of stained glass and he has published extensively on both medieval and nineteenth century glass. He is a member of the Corpus Vitrearum Committee and acts as stained glass adviser to the dioceses of Chester and Manchester and is Chairman of the Council for Care of Churches Stained Glass Committee.
