Friends of the John Rylands

The Chairman and Committee of the Friends of the John Rylands cordially invite you to join them for your Charity's annual summer social and fund-raising event.

This year we are planning a visit to Jodrell Bank in Cheshire. The afternoon will begin at 12 noon, with a buffet lunch. This will be followed by a guided walk round the Arboretum and a short 3D film. You should also get some free time to look around on your own.

We hope that you will be able to join us in support of the Friends' efforts to raise funds to assist the John Rylands Library extend and consolidate, for the benefit of the public and scholars alike, its holdings of manuscripts, printed works and archives that enrich our cultural heritage and enhance the reputation of the JRUL worldwide.

Numbers may be limited for the guided walk so, if you are interested, please book a place as soon as possible. We look forward, of course, to a fine summer's afternoon, but we will be well looked after, whatever the weather.
