Making Better Use of the history of Manchester University – a talk and discussion

JOHN PICKSTONE has worked in Manchester since 1974. He founded the Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (CHSTM), where he is now Wellcome Research Professor. He has worked extensively on the local history of science and medicine, and in 2009 organised the hugely popular Manchester Histories Festival.

 

Professor Pickstone has long been interested in the history of Manchester University, and how it might be better known. He hopes the talk and discussion will aid that cause.
