The first Friends' event an AGM, was held on Thursday 29th April where the Friends' Committee was formed.
The first Friends' event an AGM, was held on Thursday 29th April where the Friends' Committee was formed.
The main event of the evening was a talk by Dr Fred Ratcliffe, who was University Librarian from 1968 to 1972 and the first director of the JRULM from 1972 to 1980.
Two further events have been planned for this academic year:
Thursday 27 May - 'Mr and Mrs Rylands' a talk by Dr Stella Butler, Head of Special Collections, JRULM
Tuesday 15 June - 'Muniment event' introduced and led by John Hodgson, Keeper of Manuscripts and Archives, JRULM.
